Happy New Year!
Dan and Hanna and I spent a wonderful Christmas with our families in Regina. My mom came out from BC and traveled to Regina with us to spend the holidays with Dan’s family, there were 18 of us in total! We all had a blast.
For New Years Dan and I went to the Battle of Alberta New Years Eve Hockey Game (Edmonton vs. Calgary) it was a lot of fun. We made it home in time to ring in the New Year with mom who stayed for a little longer after Christmas. It was a wonderful relaxing holiday. Just what we both needed as it looks like 2006 is going to be quite the busy year for both of us both work and family wise.
Yes, you guessed it! We are having a baby!
Dan and I have kept it a secret for a few weeks now, we wanted our parents to be the first to know, and they were very excited. It was there Christmas Eve present. But now that they know, we can finally tell everyone else! We are expecting the arrival of our little bundle some time the middle of July and are eagerly anticipating the wonderful day. Dan and I have decided to wait until the baby is born to find out what the sex is; we do like surprises. I have been feeling pretty good, just the normal early pregnancy symptoms; tired like I have never been before (my bed time has rarely been past 8 or so in the past few weeks) and a wee bit of nausea, but this doesn’t even begin to dampen just how happy I am. Dan has been absolutely amazing and very understanding and I know will make the pregnancy easier and be a great father.
