The Umbilical Cord is NOT a Toy!

Well, my little Peanut was certainly full of spunk last night. There was so much action going on in my stomach that I wasn’t sure if I would get to sleep. Dan was really excited because he got to feel and see the little one jumping around all over the place. I am sure there was some skipping going on with the umbilical cord, we had a brief talk about how that isn’t to be played with.

Mark and Morrigan lent us their fetal monitor. We tried to listen for the heart but still cant hear it. The loud echo of my heart drowns out any noise the little baby heart may be making, perhaps in a couple more weeks when Peanut gets a little bigger.

Jade sent me a quiz to determine the sex of the baby. Its based on old wives tales about changes and cravings in your body that would indicate if the baby is a boy or girl. Dan and I don’t want to find out what the sex is until the baby is born but it was fun to take the test. Would you know it, I scored a 50/50 chance of it being a boy or girl. Hmmmm…this test is very accurate.

My friend Sandra did a test with a needle and thread and that predicted a girl. We also asked Ceilidh this past weekend, the two and a half year old daughter of Mark and Morrigan, what she thought. After we convinced her that I didn’t have her baby in my stomach and she didn’t have one in hers, she said it was going to be a baby boy. So there we have it. Anyone else have any ideas? I would love to hear them.
